Once you can access the Monster Arena in the Calm Lands, go capture everything. I would recommend not using any stat spheres at any point in the game (ie save them for later!), but otherwise, go crazy and do what you like. You can’t do much until you have the airship and can travel to Sin. The first step in turning your team around is get to the end of the game. Now, according to this really in depth guide (definitely give a it a read if you want to know the details) there are more nodes on the Standard grid, which makes it the better choice. This is because more nodes obviously means more room for extra stats.įor this guide, I am going to assume you are playing the international version of the game, which means you can either choose the Standard or Expert sphere grid. However, if you are playing with the eventual goal of maxing stats and beating those end game bosses, you will want to choose the sphere grid with the most nodes. You can skip this part if you’re not too fussed or have already made that decision.

This guide assumes you have a little know-how about the game already, but I have linked to other guides where possible to explain anything I have skimmed over here.īefore I start, I think it’s a good idea to mention the different sphere grid types. By ‘complete’ it means activating every node on the grid, which involves unlocking all Level 1-4 nodes and filling up every single empty one. Sphere Master and Perfect Sphere Master are obtained when completing the grid with one and then all characters. In this FFX guide, I’m going to take you through the basic steps to completing your sphere grid as easily as possible and getting some seriously tanky characters.įor those of you playing the HD Remaster, there are some trophies to gain from completing the sphere grid. You’re gunna need some serious manpower to beat these guys, which is where my sphere grid guide comes in. I’m talking about defeating those pesky Dark Aeons and maybe even Penance.

So you’ve completed most of Final Fantasy X and you now want to do all those extra bits.
